Basic Grade Medical Scientist Blood Transfusion

We are hiring Basic Grade Medical Scientist Blood Transfusion into a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland. We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the centre of all we do. Responsibilities

• Assist in writing maintaining and enforcing procedures relating to all areas of the laboratory and its related testing equipment.

• Assist in applying and implementing operational procedures up to best practice standard in order to optimise use of resources.

• Achieve compliance with INAB Accreditation standards and the E.U. Directive on Blood/Blood Products if working in an INAB accredited laboratory discipline.

• Prioritise and organise work during busy periods and coordinate multiple concurrent testing.

• Participate if required in the Departmental on call rota.

• Cooperate with the relevant staff in new ideas and technologies according to the Hospital policies.

• Participate in the implementation of quality management programmes.

• Actively participate in internal and external quality control and assurance programmes

Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent

• Registration with CORU

• Minimum of 1 year in service training across all disciplines.

• Experience in Blood Transfusion essential.

• Post qualification experience desirable.

• Have partaken in oncall rotas desirale.
