All curated around the preferences of the local audiences in the BX and Nordics and with recognised and award-winning talent from in front of and behind the camera, we offer our fans the first chance to see stories that challenge, immerse, and entertain.THE ROLEThe Head of Marketing, Amsterdam works side-by-side with regional commercial, strategic and editorial leadership to develop an inspiring, ambitious vision for BBC Studios' products and services in both Benelux and Nordics. This role leads multi-platform brand and marketing strategy and execution across the product set and regional footprint to deliver high performance against clear objectives.The role will play an important local leadership role - sitting on the local leadership team as we build our local entities and leading the Benelux and Nordics Marketing Team - providing clear context, direction and goals as well as role modelling and evolving desired behaviours, managing performance and developing talent.ResponsibilitiesLiving and breathing the local market and culture on a day to day basis, the Head of Marketing, Amsterdam is expected to have deep knowledge and lived-experience of local audiences and media market and significant marketing and team-leadership experience.Strategy and PlanningContributes to the foundation of the long term, regional growth planIn close collaboration with colleagues and peers in regional Commercial, Strategy, Editorial and Insights teams - sets regional, long range, multi-platform brand and marketing strategy - inputting both strategic, executional and budgeting plans into long range planning processOversees the creation of the annual marketing plans and budgets for regional products and services - communicating these on a regular basis to stakeholders to ensure full visibilityEmbraces new opportunities and routes to market with a growth mindset - seeking to establish best practice operational models and support with optimal marketing activityFeeds into the regional and departmental business review cycle - inputting on performance, plans and budgets and making pragmatic adjustments where necessaryCollaborates with other regional marketing teams and the wider BBC Studios Brands and Marketing team to ensure transparency, connectivity and consistency in approachEnsures insights and data are expertly applied to decision making and that audiences are at the heart of everything we doCampaign DeliveryAccountable for the full 360° marketing approach and deliverables in the regionEnsures all campaigns are strategically aligned with commercial objectives, have clear targets, are appropriate in the context of the latest regional financial performance and optimised to deliver maximum valuePartners effectively with BBC Creative to develop compelling, effective campaigns and channel/brand identities for the portfolio.Reviews campaign performance to ensure the output is delivering against the objectives and we are constantly learning and improving our approachBuilds, sustains and constantly enhances healthy and effective relationships with all stakeholders - both internal and external (media agencies, insight providers etc)Constantly seeking performance optimisation, pro-actively challenging the status quo in search of continuous improvementsResponsible for their team achieving 100% compliance of campaigns with BBC Editorial GuidelinesLeadershipSupports regional leadership in transforming regional presence and performance and ensuring a thriving office culture. Leverages a strong local network in the local media landscape to foster optimal external relationships with key regional clients, suppliers and stakeholders. Builds and leads the regional Marketing team, establishing goals and fostering a culture of ambition, clarity, ownership and respect. Manages and reviews all team resources effectively against the changing priorities of the business. Establishes and builds strong relationships with peers across the Business, communicating clearly and challenging where necessary. Represents the regional business, clearly articulating local nuances and rationale behind all localised execution, while understanding and respecting the Company's guardrails and helping retain a healthy level of connectivity and communication. Encourages innovation and risk-taking in the team to advance our marketing discipline and achieve more impact. Ensures all individuals have clear personal development plans and are receiving the appropriate learning and development input.WHAT DOES IT TAKE?Fluency speaking Dutch is essential.
