Job Opportunity: Toolset Architect (Network Management Focus) Location: Basingstoke (primary), with options for Bracknell, Birmingham, or Stevenage Security Clearance: Active SC preferred or SC clearable (DV clearance required later) Working Pattern: Full-time, onsite with occasional flexibility depending on project needs Recruitment Process: Two-stage interview (virtual via Teams followed by an in-person meeting) About the Role Are you an experienced Network Management Architect looking for a challenging opportunity? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to design and support network management applications —not the network infrastructure itself. This role involves working with cutting-edge Network Management Systems (NMS) such as VMware SMARTS, VMware NCM, SevOne Performance Monitoring, and Cisco ISE . You will collaborate with NMS Architects to refine designs, develop solutions, and test patches for these critical systems. Key Responsibilities

• Network Management Focus: Design and manage network management applications, not physical network infrastructure.
• System Expertise: Manage tools including VMware SMARTS, VMware NCM, SevOne, and Cisco ISE.
• Collaboration & Design: Work with NMS Architects to update designs, implement solutions, and test patches.
• Technical Delivery: Lead technical changes and ensure seamless service handover with comprehensive documentation.
• Problem-Solving: Apply technical expertise to overcome challenges under tight deadlines.

• NMS Proficiency: Hands-on experience with network management tools like VMware, Cisco, or SevOne.
• Technical Know-How: Understanding of RedHat Enterprise Linux , MPLS networks , Ethernet Access Links , and Juniper/Cisco product sets .
• Collaborative Mindset: A team player who thrives in high-pressure environments.
• Clearance: Active SC clearance preferred, but candidates eligible for SC clearance will be considered.

• Travel: Occasional travel (approximately once a month) for meetings at other sites.
• Work Location: Primarily onsite, with flexibility depending on project phases.
