Energy Consultant

This role is intended to provide consultancy services to help clients on their energy and emissions reduction journeys. The Energy Consultant will be responsible for delivering energy assessments, facilitating and co-designing energy and emissions reductions strategies and leading customers in their journey to achieve their energy and emissions targets. In addition, the role is responsible for continued internal process improvement, identifying potential cross-sell opportunities and providing in-house subject matter expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities

Energy Consultancy

1. Undertake energy auditing and assessments
2. Optimize energy using systems
3. Identify, calculate and report on savings opportunities to clients and prepare detailed business cases
4. Collaboratively build energy and emissions reduction strategies
5. Identify customer issues, needs and challenge to bring new ideas that help the customer realize their vision
6. Consult and facilitate the customer in all governance aspects of Enterprise Efficiency such as securing budgets, decision making, and roll-out plans while ensuring accountability for achieving outcomes.
7. Drive implementation of opportunities through our clients' organizations
8. Secure corporate-level commitment to efficiency, facilitating the client to define governance to ensure progress.

Energy Projects

1. Evaluate project risk and communicate that risk to project team and leaders.
2. Evaluate project performance relative to defined goals.
3. Manage contractors and provide technical expertise to support project management teams
4. Ensure all work is done safely

Strategic Improvement

1. Identify and innovate improvements in internal systems
2. Support the specification of the technical requirements for new software and analysis tools.
3. Assist in driving improvements through to completion

Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, resource efficiency or related field
2. 2-5 years of experience in energy consulting or corporate energy management
3. Deep understanding of the energy & emissions reduction industry
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others, and be comfortable leading a room in workshop environments.
5. Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and manage resource procurement and utilization.
7. Deliver consultancy and implementation projects to schedule and budget.
8. Understanding & experience in energy data analysis is a plus.
9. BMS and/or SCADA system configuration, and software and programming experience are a plus.
10. Fluency in English and Mandarin are a MUST
