IMI2769 - Supervisor, Maintenance EquipmentJob Family: Asset Management and Marine OperationsContract Type: DirectLocation: (Location)Business Line: Asset Management and Capital ProjectsDepartment: MaintenanceClosing Date: 31-Jan-2025Supervisor, Maintenance EquipmentThe position holder is responsible to lead the performance, maintenance, and day-to-day activities of all shipyard's Maintenance Equipment and related machinery/equipment, in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, within the asset management plans, to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAdhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.Carry out fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard marine assets in a safe, timely, and professional manner to restore assets back to operational condition.Provide cost-effective techniques and solutions to attain desired equipment reliability and availability.Study, interpret, and analyze engineering manuals, drawings, and reports to derive solutions.Understand and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP, and Asset Management System.Apply and follow up IFS (ERP system) to manage notifications, work orders preparation and closing, parts ordering, and ensure history recording.Develop and implement standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.Supervise and lead maintenance teams to perform marine asset management activities safely and environmentally friendly.Ensure that maintenance contractors and 3rd Party services are utilized efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.Inspect and test completed works to ensure safe operation of the assets/equipment before handover.Lead critical activities such as installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and mothballing of shipyard marine assets.Communicate with other maintenance supervisors and zone superintendents about the status of equipment and opportunities for improvements.Identify spares requirements and monitor their utilization.Be a part of project teams to lead critical activities like installations and repositioning of shipyard assets.Work within 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology.Control and endorse work permits for asset maintenance work and ensure safety and environmental regulations are followed.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and provide quality customer satisfaction.Provide inputs in the development and review of checklists, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.Follow up and execute FRACAS recommendations assigned to the assets.Coordinate with management and staff about the status of equipment and propose solutions for improvements.Promote a "can-do" team spirit creating a culture of high standards and job satisfaction within the department.Undertake continuous training and development.Train and share asset maintenance knowledge with co-workers and apprentices.Promote a positive attitude and work culture in driving teams to attain Asset Management objectives.QUALIFICATIONSTechnical diploma degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.EXPERIENCE15 years of practical marine experience, understanding of Health and Safety practices, and previous shipyard or marine experience is a must.
