Site Mechanical Engineer - Saudi Arabia - DammamWe are currently searching for a Site Mechanical Engineer to join our site team in Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The correct candidate must have over 10 years' experience of working as a Mechanical Engineer ideally with an Engineering Consultancy or a Contractor.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters Degree in Engineering (MEng)Membership of a recognised professional body (CIBSE, IMechE or ASHRAE)Essential ExperienceTypically 10+ years relevant industry experience of a technical role, within either a contractor or engineering consultancy.Proven track record of project design through concept to detailed design.Ability to review and make small amendments on AutoCAD.High levels of patience when dealing with stakeholders.Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.Experience in general mechanical design software such as Hevacomp, HAP.Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.A team player able to provide leadership to colleagues in other disciplines.Desirable ExperienceExperience of working on multidisciplinary construction projects.Experience of working on high-rise, multi-media spaces, high specification interiors.Experience in the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia.Experience of both design and construction.Revit capability.Job RequirementsLiaise with SAPMT and Buro Happold discipline leads to assist with the planning, coordination and execution of building services works.Review the contractor's submissions including: method statements, procurement plans, technical submissions, specifications, schedules, technical queries, shop drawings, specialist designs, fabrication drawings, and technical studies.Assist SAPMT to monitor Contractor & Specialist Sub Contractor progress.Provide support to SAPMT and site engineering inspectors to ensure technical compliance with the approved contract specifications, working practices, and drawings.
