The Budget and Analysis Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial health of an automotive dealership and distributor. This position is responsible for managing the budgeting process, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual financial performance.
  3. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators.
  4. Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs and provide guidance on financial matters.
  5. Monitor cash flow and assist in forecasting future financial performance.
  6. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
  7. Develop and implement financial models to aid in decision-making processes.
  8. Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the organization.
  9. Provide training and support to staff on budgeting and financial reporting processes.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting financial practices.

Skills
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
