- Develop and execute merchandise plans aligned with company goals and market trends
- Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market conditions to optimize stock and product mix
- Forecast demand and plan inventory levels across multiple fabric categories
- Collaborate with buyers, designers, and vendors to ensure product assortment meets customer needs
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies accordingly
- Lead and mentor a team of merchandise planners
- Oversee promotional planning and markdown strategies
- Manage open-to-buy budgets and maintain profit margins
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in fabric offerings
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably in Ready to Wear or Textiles or Fabrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of fabric types, trends, and manufacturing processes
