00123472 Saudi Nationals only Grade: 6 Location: Taif Advert closing: 01.01.2025 Responsibilities
  1. Support the planning of aircraft maintenance activities with the utilization of Part M fleet daily direction documentation. Specific responsibilities encompass ensuring that allocated aircraft meet Part M direction on a daily basis, providing support to strategic maintenance planning, and attending scheduled flying planning reviews.
  2. Coordinate with Task Aircraft Generation Flight (AGF) maintainers, MOF schedulers, and controllers to implement changes to the configuration or role of Squadron aircraft as requested by the customer.
  3. Compile and maintain aircraft statistics for Flying Hours, TS Typhoon usage, including solo role, ground technical aborts, sorties, and conversion qualification training. Present this data to operations managers, fleet, and the customer when necessary.
  4. Deliver the daily maintenance brief, incorporating detailed research on reported aircraft faults and associated maintenance activities. Present findings to the Squadron Commander and pilots during the morning Met Brief.
  5. Manage the aircrew Technical Queries (TQ) in collaboration with the Forward Operations Teamcenter holder(s) and the TSC. Ensure timely responses to all aircrew-generated TQ by the Design Organisation and communicate replies to TQ originators.
  6. Assist with fault diagnosis for the AMO's rectification activities through pilot debriefs and analysis of maintenance data records via ESS. Present findings to pilots during daily MET briefs and provide briefings to the relevant department within TSC, Typhoon Operations Team Leads, and Manager upon request.
  7. Deliver technical briefings on aircraft systems and maintenance operations to the Squadron Commander, trainee, and instructor pilots upon request.
  8. Undertake aircraft-related projects assigned by the Squadron Commander, in agreement with the Maintenance Support Team Leader, which may include supporting the customer with Unit Inquiries.
  9. Communicate aircraft serviceability states, flying requirements restrictions and locations with forecasts for completion of aircraft maintenance to aircrew.
  10. Ensure accurate entry of daily and weekly flying programs on the Typhoon Engineering Support System (ESS).
  11. Maintain constant communication with the Flight Line Controller regarding crew walk times, take-off/landing times, land-away checks, special requirements (e.g., weather), crew-in faults/hit team red balls, End of Runway (EOR) arrangements, and emergency states.
  12. Promptly inform AGF Rectification Control and Line Control of any changes in the flying program.
  13. Provide support to pilots during aircraft sign-outs on ESS as needed.
  14. Serve as an information liaison between Ops and AGF through MOF Control.
  15. Stay in contact with MOF and AGF personnel involved in aircraft recovery for the flying program and brief updates to the Squadron Duty Officer(s) and Squadron Commander when necessary.
  16. Develop and implement a training plan for designated Saudi colleagues to prepare them for performing Eng Ops Controller’s duties on future Typhoon Squadrons.
  17. Ensure all personnel within the area of responsibility adhere to proper operational practices, observe safety precautions, and minimize exposure to unnecessary or uncontrolled risks to the extent reasonably practicable.
Job Requirements:
  1. A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  2. Have 10 year’s aircraft maintenance experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training.
  3. Have at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant management role.
  4. Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel.
  5. A working knowledge of Part M, Part 145 and the relationships between partner organisations.
  6. Awareness of human factors and human performance issues.
  7. Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures.
  8. Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
  9. Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition.
