About the Role: We are seeking a visionary leader with a passion for innovation in Power Electronics and e-Mobility , to join our client and make an impact in the future of Automotive Technology. Experienced and dynamic Leader for the role of CTO / Technology Leader to lead the Engineering team. This leadership role is critical in driving the development and growth of the Advanced Power Electronics solutions for the 4-wheeler e-Mobility space. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the Engineering division focused on Power Electronics products for E-Mobility, managing a multi-disciplinary team across hardware, software, and firmware domains.
- Develop and execute strategies for product development, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- Oversee the design, development, and control of power electronics systems including DC-DC converters, inverters, motors, controllers, onboard chargers, and battery management systems for e-Mobility applications.
- Lead the application of advanced mathematical modeling for system design and optimization.
- Oversee simulation activities using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and LTSpice to ensure robust system performance and product reliability.
- Manage the design and integration of e-powertrain, ensuring the efficient conversion and control of electrical energy in E-Mobility vehicles , while continuously improving the performance and efficiency of the systems.
- Ensure all products meet industry safety standards and regulations, including ISO 26262 and ASIL. Lead safety analysis and compliance activities across the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to automotive safety standards.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to understand market needs and feedback.
- Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams in a high-performance environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovation and product development.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Oversee the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and timely delivery of projects. Manage the allocation of resources across multiple projects, balancing priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering or Master’s in Power Electronics or a related field.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in the Automotive Engineering industry, with at least 7 years in a leadership role within power electronics and E-Mobility applications.
- Deep expertise in Power Electronics for 4-wheeler E-Mobility , including DC-DC converters , inverters, motor controllers, onboard chargers, and battery management.
- Hands-on experience in hardware, software, and firmware design and development, with a proven track record of delivering successful products.
- Hands on experience in advanced mathematical modeling and simulation techniques, with proficiency in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and LTSpice.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including ISO 26262 and ASIL, with experience ensuring compliance in automotive product development.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV Subsystem management for entire E-Powertrain systems and their integration into E-Mobility applications.
- Proven track record of understanding customer Electronics related expectations for the 4Wheeler, being able to convert them into RFQ's.
- Ability to convert the RFQ's into deliverable requirements to the teams and manage customer deliverables accordingly.
