Branch Manager - Fresh ProduceReference: HQ000753-pn-2A Leading Fresh Produce Retail company based in Hillcrest and Bluff is currently seeking a dynamic and responsible Branch Manager to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLocation: Hillcrest and BluffKey Responsibilities:Managing the Fruit and Vegetable Department to maximize gross profitResponsible for the smooth running of the departmentPlacing daily orders, estimating the amounts and frequencies of the required productsLeading the staff, planning duty shifts, and addressing personal issuesOrganizing and controlling stockMaintaining the company's allowed amount of shrinkage and wastage within the departmentConducting weekly stocktakesEnsuring the freshness and variety of the assortmentPerfect presentation of goodsComplying with sanitation and safety standardsStaying informed about improvements and searching for the best productsDemonstrating a passion for productsKnowledge Base:Experience in retail, specifically with vegetables and fruits, is essentialGood knowledge of fruits and vegetablesExperience in buying fruit and vegetablesWillingness to learn the product range of the specific departmentLeadership experiencePoint of Sale Systems knowledge is desirablePractical Skills:Team playerHands-on characterHigh level of quality consciousnessAbility to think strategicallyGood customer service skillsA creative side for creating displaysA minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a retail environment is required.Package & RemunerationSalary: R18,000 per month, dependent on experience.Benefits: Provident FundBased in Hillcrest & Bluff.
