A leading pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Business Unit HeadReference: DBN003455-SS-3This role involves managing and servicing the Blood and Transfusion Portfolios as well as other key portfolios such as Bioscience and Pathology / RDT, with the aim of optimizing growth and profitability within the unit.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Drive top-line growth and increase market share by developing and implementing effective Category, Product Portfolio, and Brand strategies.Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales.Develop and manage effective execution of campaigns and projects, including planning and executing successful product launches and promotions.Analyse market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities and target audiences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.Monitor and optimise marketing performance through data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).Enhance customer engagement and loyalty through innovative and personalised marketing initiatives.Manage marketing budgets and resources efficiently to achieve maximum ROI.Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.Foster strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders to drive successful partnerships.Ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and achievement of Value share targets through strategic channel management.Identify acquisition opportunities and collaborate with the executive team for implementation if approved.Foster good working relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key specialists and prioritise Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development.RequirementsBachelor of Science (preferably in Nursing) or equivalent qualificationCommercial qualification preferableMarketing / Brand management experience in the medical/pharmaceutical Industry - EssentialKnowledge of or working with SANBS an advantageKnowledge of Project management an advantageCompetenciesRelationship Building/NetworkingCollaboration and influential skillsEntrepreneurial and Commercial ThinkingFormulating Strategies and ConceptsPlanning and OrganisingDelivering Results and Meeting Customer ExpectationsCoping with Pressures and SetbacksCandidates that meet the criteria may submit their applications via this portal or via vacancy link on www.mnarecruitment.com.
