Junior Writer - Lowyat.NET

Lowyat.NET is Malaysia's leading consumer technology portal covering everything tech related, from mobile phones to graphic cards, bitcoin, fintech, gaming and more. Lowyat.NET is part of the Lowyat Media Group. We are looking for passionate and dynamic individuals to apply for the position(s) of Junior Writer – Current Affairs.

Job Responsibilities:

1. You will work as part of the LOWYAT editorial team to grow and manage our digital media platforms and our audience base.
2. You will create and produce news content to interest ordinary Malaysians in technology and consumer product news.
3. You will help manage our stakeholders, including our operating partners and our sponsorship partners.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. You are creative, able to think and communicate with clarity and have strong writing skills.
2. You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to work both independently and in teams.
3. You thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
4. You love the internet & digital content, and you keep current with current affairs and social media trends.
5. You consume, and are able to contextualize news on technology, consumer tech, gaming and gadgets (both local and international).
6. 1 to 2 years of work experience is preferred but fresh graduates with relevant background are welcome to apply.
7. Graphic design or illustration skills are a bonus.
