Your role
Programme overview:- EY is more than a conventional actuarial consultancy.
- Combined with delivering for clients in traditional areas, such as reserving, pricing, and capital modeling, the firm operates as part of the wider EY Consulting business.
- This allows the team to work on wider projects including underwriting and finance transformation, implementation of technology, ESG, strategy, risk management, analytics, and capital optimization.
- Technology is at the forefront of how they work.
- The proprietary software enhances the ability to deliver market-leading insight, and it utilizes this to assist clients in modernizing their actuarial capabilities.
- Analyzing data to identify trends and insights, communicating with clients, writing reports, and presenting your work
- Working with UK and global insurance and (re)insurance companies on reserve reviews, transactions, portfolio transfers, actuarial modeling, and more
- Using the latest technology, modeling, and analysis to understand clients’ businesses
- Working with clients to transform their business, using the latest technology to allow clients to better leverage their actuarial teams for insightful analysis
About you
Eligibility for applying:- EY operates an open access policy, meaning it doesn’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone.
- You will, however, need to be working towards an honors degree in a numbers-based subject like Maths, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or Technology, and have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent), including an A grade at A Level/Higher Maths (or equivalent carrying at least 48 UCAS points) to be eligible to apply.

Training & development
The duration of the program is two years. However, EY will provide continued support and training to help graduates qualify as actuaries, which typically takes 3-5 years in total. The company aims to give you interesting and challenging work that allows you to develop your skills and knowledge continually. You’ll have a buddy who’ll be your first point of call for practical help and guidance. They also provide coaching, so you can always access impartial advice, opportunities, and ongoing support.Career progression
