Overview We are seeking an Instrumentation / Control Engineer to join the Central Ghawar Engineering Division (CGED). The Central Ghawar Engineering Division is responsible for providing support and engineering services to 3 operating divisions in Central Ghawar Producing Department (CGPD). As an Instrumentation / Control Engineer your primary role is to provide highest quality technical support in the field of instrumentation and process control to support operating plants. Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: Prepare comprehensive Instrumentation design packages. Troubleshoot field Instrumentation related problems. Investigate Plant and Equipment trips and provide remedial engineering recommendations. Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates. Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations regarding instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Virtual Metering System (VMS), and auxiliary control systems. Recommend modifications to improve the performance of field instrumentation and process control. Size control valves, orifice plates, and relief valves using certified sizing software. Review instrumentation engineering design packages and provide meaningful comments and quality assurance assessment. Communicate with equipment vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning new technology and upgrades of equipment. Review Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and participate in Engineering Standards review committees. Requirements As a successful candidate you will hold a: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering support for hydrocarbon facilities. Demonstrate excellent hands-on experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) / Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems for Yokogawa and Schneider Electric systems. Expert in DCS, ESD, and SCADA Systems design, modifications, and upgrades. Knowledge in commissioning and troubleshooting of field instrumentation.
