Operations Manager

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in providing technical insurance expertise, coordinating with insurers/reinsurers, and managing client relationships to enhance the operations of BIRB . This position ensures high-quality service delivery to clients while effectively managing relationships and collaborating with insurance and reinsurance companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations to provide expert guidance and support to internal teams and clients. Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimize business operations.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with insurance and reinsurance companies to facilitate smooth business transactions and obtain competitive terms for clients.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the brokerage operations, leveraging technical expertise to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assess risks associated with insurance products, portfolios, and client engagements, and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Cert CII qualification or equivalent
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within an insurance broker in the Middle East, with a focus on technical roles such as underwriting, risk management, or insurance operations
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, regulations, and market dynamics, with the ability to analyze complex insurance scenarios and develop innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach, capable of driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and achieving business objectives
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications #J-18808-Ljbffr
