We are currently recruiting for a Buyer – Procurement tojoin our Supply Chain Management team in our HQ, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone. Scope : The Buyer—Procurement is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that meet Transguard Group's standards for quality, cost, and delivery time. This role ensures that procurement activities align with the strategic goals of the organization. The buyer manages a specific procurement category and/or a certain business unit as directed by the line manager and implements cost-saving measures, thereby contributing to the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.
- Negotiate supplier contracts: secure favorable terms and pricing to achieve cost savings and value for money
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial plans and forecasts
- Cost reduction initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for reducing costs without compromising quality
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement needs and expectations
- Supplier relationship management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services
- Customer satisfaction: Ensure that all procurement activities contribute to the satisfaction of the internal customers
- Strategic procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Process improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Process adherence: Lead pre-bid requirements and prepare and send invitations to tender, requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for quotations (RFQ) to vendors, e-sourcing, and e-auctions, along with preparing technical and commercial evaluations
- Operational procurement: Responsible for contractual instruments, including purchase orders (POs), blanket purchase agreements (BPA), service maintenance agreements (SMA) and contracts with all required documents and information for management approval
- Processes followship: Lead pre-bid requirements and prepare and send invitations to tender, requests for proposal (RFP), and Requests for quotations (RFQ) to vendors, e-sourcing, and e-auctions, along with preparing technical and commercial evaluations
- Technology integration: utilize procurement technologies and automation tools to streamline procurement processes
- Industry awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance procurement functions
- Innovation initiatives: Propose and implement innovative ideas to improve procurement practices and outcomes
Skills
Selection Criteria- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field
- Three years’ experience in a similar position
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in similar industry
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
