We are looking for a Scrum Master for our headquarters in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). A brief job description of the position and preferred qualifications for the suitable candidates are defined below:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant Agile certifications (CSM, PSM) are required.
Experience / Technical Knowledge:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach within a software development environment, ideally with SaaS products.
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Agile project management tools like JIRA or Trello. Experience working with software development teams in an Agile environment.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to foster collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Dutch proficiency is a plus.
Job Description:
As a Scrum Master at Simply Deliver, you will facilitate the Agile process within our product development teams, ensuring they follow Scrum principles and practices to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will coach the team, remove impediments, and ensure effective collaboration between developers, the Product Owner, and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and transparency. What we are expecting from her/him:- Lead Scrum Processes: Oversee and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Agile Coaching: Serve as a coach to the development teams, ensuring that Agile methodologies are properly understood and followed. Help the team to self-organize and improve their workflows.
- Remove Impediments: Act as a servant leader, proactively identifying and removing blockers that are preventing the teams from achieving their sprint goals.
- Improve Team Dynamics: Encourage open communication and collaboration within and across the teams. Support the teams in improving its productivity and quality of output.
- Work with Product Owners: Collaborate with the Product Owners to manage the product backlog and ensure it is refined, prioritized, and clear for the teams.
- Track Performance: Use relevant Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to monitor and report on team’s progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a point of communication between stakeholders and the teams, ensuring expectations are aligned and that the team is equipped with the information they need to succeed.
