Senior Finance Business Partner

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting new opportunity available to join our Albany-based Support Centre as a Senior Finance Business Partner. As part of our Finance Team, you will be an essential member of the finance team, working closely with various departments and stakeholders within the organization to provide financial insights, analysis, and support. Your primary focus will be to act as a strategic advisor to senior management, helping them make informed decisions that align with the company's financial objectives and overall business strategy. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key functions will include:- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and projections to support decision-making processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and explain variances.
- Business Performance Review: Regularly review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the financial health of the organization. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Decision Support: Advise ELT and senior management on financial implications of business initiatives, investment decisions, and new projects. Assist in evaluating the financial viability and potential risks associated with these initiatives.
- Qualified accountant (CAANZ, CPA)
- At least 3 years’ experience in management accounting or similar.
- Extensive experience in providing financial insight and advice in a large complex organization.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial planning software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences effectively.
