Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support) About the role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Batu Kawan, Penang. As a full-time Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of our company. What you'll be doing

  • Preferable Mandarin speaking candidates as need to deal with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
  • 5.5 Working Day

  • Handling incoming calls, emails and correspondence in a professional and courteous manner
  • Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor the company's cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company maintains a healthy cash reserve.
  • Account Reconciliation: Manage the general ledger and perform account reconciliations, including the calculation of foreign exchange gains and losses, ensuring accuracy.
  • Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Performing data entry and verifying the accuracy of financial information
  • Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed
  • Adhering to established accounting procedures and internal controls
What we're looking for
  • Reading : The ability to understand and read documents, reports, etc., in both languages.
  • Writing : The ability to write clearly and accurately in both English and Chinese for emails, reports, and other business communications.
  • Language Proficiency : The ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and clients.
This requirement highlights the need for strong language skills in both languages for effective communication in a bilingual work environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
