You will be working with a team of HW Systems and Audio Systems experts to develop advanced technology and HW solutions for mobile phones, Compute, XR, and a variety of IoT devices. Members of our team enjoy the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research while simultaneously contributing technology that will be published in patents/papers and deployed worldwide in our industry-leading devices. You will be part of the Audio Systems and R&D team developing systems design for Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms. We are seeking candidates with technical excellence in audio systems design and creativity to apply their technical knowledge to exciting new cutting-edge audio technologies.Responsibilities:The selected candidate will have responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:Audio system design, leading to both reference design and intellectual property (IP)End-to-end HW-SW Audio system design, development, prototyping, performance validation, and commercialization of new audio features/technologies that meet performance, power, robustness, and stability metrics on Qualcomm platformsPerformance analysis of Audio SubsystemRequirement analysis, troubleshooting of complex issues, functional and performance testing of the Audio solutionsUnderstanding of fixed point and floating point arithmeticAcoustic performance test and measurementsDemo prototyping and preparationDocumentation and support to internal teams for technology productizationSupporting marketing teams for technology promotionWorking with both internal customer engineering teams and customers for successful commercializationTechnology evaluation and competitive analysisAll Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams and in the Company.Requirements:Solid background in audio signal processing fundamentalsStrong programming skills in Embedded C/C++Expertise in developing and debugging software on any embedded platformsKnowledge of any DSP architecture, real-time operating system conceptsKnowledge of software design patterns, multi-threaded programming, data structures, and basic algorithmsExpertise in fixed point and floating point implementationExpertise in audio system design, acoustic measurements, and performance analysisDSP intrinsic and assembly programming is a plusExperience in Python and Matlab is a plusExperience in DSP Algorithm development is a plusExperience in HW digital design is a plusProven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environmentSelf-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex problemsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsQuick learner, self-motivated, able to work independently and a Team playerAspiration for excellenceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
