Finance & Accounting Assistant Manager/Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team at TOA Paint Products Sdn Bhd in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and executing detailed financial plans, budgets and forecasts that align with the company’s strategic goals. You will also conduct variance analysis and take corrective actions to address any deviations from the budget. What you'll be doing
- Organize and supervise accounting system to ensure timely and accurate production of accounts, reports and financial statements.
- Ensure efficient financial controlling structures and processes, and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.
- Provide financial insights on cost optimization, risk management and market orientation.
- Work with the business teams in the development of local business strategies and plans, identifying financial and business priorities arising from organizational objectives and proactively identifying opportunities.
- Encourage and assist managers and directors in analyzing and improving financial performance and capability through interpretation of business KPIs, Management Data, Internal and External Benchmarking information and External best practices.
- Lead the business planning and forecasting with appropriate financial modeling, analysis and commentary.
- Ensure all business activities are in line with applicable laws and regulations such as financial reporting on foreign currency matters in Malaysia and Thailand.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- A master’s degree or ACCA/CPA certification are preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in a finance or accounting managerial role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Strong bilingual skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Pivot Table), financial software and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
