Make an Impact by Being responsible for team management functions including budget management, team management & appraisals, case escalations, network patch management, incident management, change management, RCA management, tech-refresh, and leading meetings & presentations on deliverables and updates to respective supervisors and key stakeholders. Taking accountability for the quality, timely delivery & customer satisfaction of the project/network operation service delivery objectives. Ensuring the network operation and project service delivery aligns with Singtel ITSM standards. Aligning or enhancing ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. change, incident, problem, release management & CMDB. Supporting all Cisco network devices and Checkpoint & Fortigate firewalls, F5/Foundry/Radware load balancers, DNS, SDN, IPAM, wireless, Tacacs, and VPN. Supporting operational activities: service desk; event, incident, request fulfilment, problem, and access management. Monitoring performance; change, release, deployment, demand and workload implementation. Identifying necessary network changes, validating proposed changes through testing, and developing/submitting a detailed work plan. Monitoring ASOC and Infosec emails closely, acknowledging and assessing if support is needed, and escalating to the next level. Attending all proactive/reactive incident tickets acknowledgment and working on them. Mentoring team members on technical issues & managing the shift as lead. Implementing and administrating network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and wireless access points. Implementing and administrating network routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & network security. Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks including diagrams and SOPs. Regularly backing up configurations of all network devices and ensuring all devices are onboarded into Tacacs. Working closely with hardware vendors for root cause analysis, follow-up, and replacement of hardware parts promptly. Monitoring & measuring the performance & availability of systems proactively; implementing corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability. Communicating with vendors to gather information about products, alert them to future needs, resolve problems, or address system maintenance issues. Responding promptly to network incidents, conducting root cause analysis & providing temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Implementing information security principles when creating and designing information systems to keep all classified and sensitive information secure. Being responsible for environment maintenance, patches, and security updates, and working with security and risk analysis teams to maintain an up-to-date environment. Recommending network security measures, such as firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes. Providing support to VPN users & cleaning up old unused firewalls. Encouraging and driving the team through self-development initiatives; mentoring engineers/staff. Involving in operational concerns for architectural decisions at a technical competency level. Providing project support for BAU projects & enhancement networks. Participating in network technology upgrade or expansion projects and testing as well. Skills for Success Degree in computer science/Information Technology, Network Industry certification (e.g., CCIE, CCNP) and Professional Security certification is highly desirable. 10 years of experience in Corporate Network & Security. 10 years of experience managing a team in delivery and operations. Experience and knowledge in the areas of network, firewalls, IPS, load balancers, authentication systems, and IPAM. Knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Data Centre network & security industry standards relevant to data communications/networking and computing. Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) on Cisco ACI will be advantageous. Knowledge of security best practices and experience in network operations. Ability to work with complex or large-sized network infrastructure development/operations/migration projects. Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services. Big picture thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole. Good knowledge of IT governance and operations. Ability to influence an outcome without creating conflict.
