AKUH is the first hospital in Pakistan to be awarded the prestigious Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) for practicing the highest internationally recognized healthcare standards. The Department of Anaesthesiology provides anaesthetic management for all procedures on a 24-hour basis, including emergency care. Pre-operative anaesthesia assessment is accomplished through the outpatient Anaesthesia Clinic and on-call in-patient consultations. The Department offers special expertise in Paediatric, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgical, Vascular and Anaesthesia for Surgical Day Cases. The Department also provides continuing critical care services through the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In addition, Department of Anaesthesia runs acute and chronic pain services. Responsibilities You will have an independent consultant status for providing anesthesia related patient care at AKUH and it's hospitals. Requirements You must have completed a structured post-graduate training program and possess FCPS, MRCP, FRCA, American Boards or equivalent qualification.
