This person will lead the testing and commissioning process for mega projects.NEOM Jobs - Senior ManagerNEOM, Saudi Arabia: NEOM has announced an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and skilled professional to join its team as the Senior Manager for Field Testing and Commissioning.This pivotal role involves leading and managing the testing and commissioning process for some of the world's largest and most ambitious projects. (irp) Role OverviewPosition: Senior Manager Field Testing and CommissioningJob ID: 12899Reports to: Senior Executive Director Operational ReadinessDepartment: Operational Readiness (irp) Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Manager of Field Testing and Commissioning will ensure the successful execution of testing and commissioning activities for mega and giga projects at NEOM.The responsibilities include:Planning and CoordinationDeveloping Comprehensive Plans: The candidate will create and implement detailed testing and commissioning plans for various asset classes, including utilities and infrastructure.Stakeholder Coordination: They will coordinate with project stakeholders, managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient scheduling and execution of all activities.Maintaining Documentation: Ensuring all necessary documentation, including test procedures and commissioning plans, are current.Site Observations: Sharing periodic site observation reports to highlight issues affecting the T&C process proactively.Testing and CommissioningExecution Oversight: Overseeing the execution of testing and commissioning activities on-site to verify that systems meet operational requirements and design specifications.Troubleshooting: Resolving issues that arise during the testing phase.Accurate Documentation: Documenting all test results and commissioning reports comprehensively.Leadership and Mentorship: Providing leadership and mentorship to the team of testing and commissioning engineers and agents.Enhancing Multitasking: To maintain flexibility and expedite the T&C process, improving multitasking within the team.Technical Support: Offering technical guidance and support to team members.Stakeholder CommunicationEffective Communication: Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.Regular Updates: Providing regular updates on testing and commissioning progress.Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving client concerns promptly and professionally.Project HandoverOperational Handover: Ensuring all systems are fully operational and handed over to the client or operations team.Training and Support: Ensure contractors provide necessary training and support to clients.Complete Documentation: Confirm that all commissioning documentation is complete and handed to the client.Qualifications and ExperienceKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceExperience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in testing, commissioning, quality assurance, or related roles, preferably in large, complex organizations.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of systems, equipment, and relevant industry standards.Project Management: Proficiency in project management software and methodologies.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Safety Protocols: Understanding and prioritizing safety protocols to prevent accidents during testing and commissioning.Educational QualificationsDegree: Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
