Projects Mechanical Engineer "Job Details"Job Identification: 49Posting Date: 01/25/2024, 12:11 PMApply Before: 02/29/2024, 12:10 PMDegree Level: BachelorJob Schedule: Full timeResponsibilitiesMonitors contractor's on-site safety, installation and testing activities to ensure material and equipment conforms with codes, standards and specifications.Ensures that Contractor carries out his work according to the contract.Ensures Contractor remains within the time schedule and contract cost regarding mechanical and steel structure erection.Determine the scope of projects and designs in-line to Alsafwa design criteria, support the process of selection and project feasibility analysis.Complete all the necessary job assessments, permits and other documentation as required.Identify and address any changes to scope and provide engineering solutions to support the planning and execution stages of projects.Provide technical and managerial guidance to construction contractors regarding scope of work, procedures, and specifications.Taking the lead in coordinating meetings with contractors, designers, vendors, and other stakeholders.Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.Challenge contractor's Method statement/Permit to Work and associated Risk assessment.Ensure the respect of the Internal Control Standards and related procedures on site.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or any similar discipline.PMP Certification is a plus.Experience3+ years of experience in a similar function.Experience in a similar position in a globally recognized organization in Cement field or similar sectors is preferred.Job SpecificStrong verbal and written communication skills.Strong presentation skills.Proficient with AutoCad & Microsoft Office or related software.Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.Solid understanding of Project Management Procedures.Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.Technical knowledge of mechanical maintenance operations.
