About the Role:
As the Head of Risk & Compliance , you’ll play a key role in ensuring the business meets its legal and regulatory obligations while actively managing risk across the organisation. You’ll be the go-to person for compliance, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust risk management frameworks. This is a broad-based role to roll up your sleeves.In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and maintain risk management and compliance frameworks
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the business adapts
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place
- Work closely with stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Provide training and guidance to ensure a strong compliance culture
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a risk management or compliance role within financial services or the legal industry, 5+ years preferred
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements in New Zealand’s financial services sector
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- The ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and across departments and the regulator FMA
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
