About the Role The role of Internal Control Specialist is responsible for managing the annual self-assessment and remediation processes, providing internal control expertise, and ensuring continuous process improvements across multiple countries. They will oversee SAP Process Control, risk management, and support stakeholders in optimizing internal methodologies. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in internal control or auditing, with strong communication skills, financial literacy, and a proactive attitude toward process automation and project leadership. What You Will Do
- Facilitation, coordination, and execution of the annual self-assessment and remediation process in an effective way.
- Providing internal controls expertise and advice for multiple countries within defined focus areas.
- Supporting key stakeholders in the process of crafting and improving functional controls.
- Administration of SAP Process Control, Master Data, and Risk & Control Matrix in particular.
- Ensuring continuous process improvements of internal methodologies, procedures, and policies.
- Developing, updating, and revising internal control templates, instructions, and documentation.
- Optimize and automate internal control processes and reporting to increase operative efficiency.
- Promoting internal control values within the function to increase the level of awareness in the operations.
- Initiating and leading Internal Control related projects.
- University degree in relevant discipline (preferably in internal control, auditing, business process, systems design, finance & controlling or related field).
- 5 years of professional experience within the internal control or auditing field.
- Qualification confirmed by CIA/CPA or similar certification.
- Good financial literacy, internal control, and risk management in particular.
- Experience in Power BI and MS Office; fundamental knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior management.
- Proactive attitude with a drive to improve.
- Sound independent judgement.
- Fluency in English (verbal & written).
