We specialise in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop-fittings. Role Summary:
The Project Engineer will execute and oversee large fit-out projects independently, with minimal supervision from the Project Manager.Role Description:
- Complete management of projects onsite, from taking possession of the unit from the client to site handover.
- Specifying project objectives and plans, including defining scope, scheduling, and setting performance requirements.
- Maximising resource efficiency (labour, materials, and equipment).
- Coordinating and controlling planning, design, estimating, contracting, and construction activities to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintaining accurate records of construction progress throughout the project.
- Overseeing construction sites and managing vendors and trades while maintaining effective communication with clients.
- Preparing weekly site plans in advance, monitoring daily progress, and reporting to the Project Manager.
- Preparing site work method statements, considering project safety and quality parameters. Submitting and obtaining client/consultant approval prior to commencing work.
- Studying project drawings and specifications and collaborating closely with MEP and other stakeholders.
- Managing project planning, cost, time, quality, contract administration, and safety, including defining team responsibilities and leading through the implementation of project controls.
Personal Qualities:
The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer role should possess the following skills, personal qualities, and experiences:- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- A minimum of five years’ experience with reputable fit-out contracting companies in the Middle East, delivering large-scale fit-out projects.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale fit-out projects, e.g., hospitality, hotels, high-end residential, palaces, villas, F&B, retail, entertainment, healthcare, education, etc.
- Strong technical and execution skills.
- Experience working with professional fit-out contracting companies and in-house workforces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a multinational environment.
- Strong teamwork and analytical abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptable and flexible in supporting team and business needs.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Projects, and MS Office.
