IT Infrastructure Specialist

Responsibilities

1. Provide Windows / VM administration and Tier-2 technical support
2. Responsible for system administration, system configuration, monitoring and backup
3. Apply system patches and perform regular maintenance and upgrades
4. Provide support on Windows / UNIX server administration
5. Perform diagnosis on system hardware and software problems
6. Maintain technical and reference documents
7. Providing Internal Support to group VDI Platform
8. Plan and manage implementation of network and different technologies projects by working closely with internal teams and external customers
9. Organize project schedule and resources with customers, engineers, vendors and third parties
10. Evaluate latest technologies and products
11. Perform Business and Market analysis and prepare presentation and proposal
12. Monitor project status, quality, material procurement and progress
13. Design and implementation of network infrastructure
14. Prepare and present project schedule to Senior Management
15. Provide user manuals and technical documents for the systems
16. Carry out system integration tests and user acceptance tests to ensure the stability in production stage
17. Perform system checking and implementation of programs for performance tuning, troubleshooting and maintenance
18. Night emergency call support may be required
19. Provide consultancy services covering project implementation, post-production support and day-to-day operations on Linux Platform for mission-critical systems
20. Console management, remote monitoring and support of the IT infrastructure – LAN/WAN, Servers/Network & Storage
21. Manage and execute the job scheduling process according to the pre-defined work schedule
22. Responsible for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, escalation and cases follow up
23. Adhere to command center security policy

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Windows 2003 and 2012 server administration
3. Solid working experience in Windows AD and cluster administration
4. Knowledge of AIX, Linux, IBM Tivoli, IBM MQ, IBM TSM, Symantec Netbackup/Backup Exec is preferred
5. Knowledge of Networking and Firewall, Storage, SAN Switch, Load balance
6. A good team player with analytical & problem-solving skills, self-motivation and good interpersonal skills
7. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

Additional Requirements

1. High diploma or above in Information Technology and related disciplines
2. 1 to 3 years hands-on experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure support using Citrix XenApp, Xendesktop technologies
3. Solid work experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware VSphere suite and Citrix Xenserver
4. Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
5. Fresh Graduates will also be considered
