At the Southern Charity Hospital, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the health of our community across Southland and Otago. We're seeking an accomplished General Manager with experience in Health management to partner with our dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager in this transformative journey. As the General Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager, Board of Trustees and Clinical Committee, to lead our unique, state-of-the-art hospital. Together, you'll build upon the established legacy and continue supporting our local community. Working hand in hand with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our hospital, leading with empathy, strategic acumen, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the management and leadership of the Hospital's operations including strategic planning, financial funding and performance, community relations and fundraising, HR and operational management, and health and safety. About You: Success in this role requires more than just skills; it demands passion and dedication to go above and beyond. Here are the key qualities we're looking for:
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in collaboration with clinical teams
- Strong financial management skills
- A deep understanding of quality improvement processes
- Strategic thinking and the ability to drive operational excellence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders
- Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing employees
