Position based in: Karachi – Pakistan Gender: Either (Preferably Female) Age: Maximum 40 years Qualification: Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus. Professional Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in IT operations and application management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership role with a leading organization. The Head of IT will be strategically evaluating the current IT ERP, systems, and practices and come up with a plan to align it with industry & market needs. Post finalization of a strategic plan, the incumbent will lead the team to implement the plan. He will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of IT infrastructure, and overseeing the development and deployment of business applications. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong focus on security, efficiency, and the ability to adapt to industry-specific demands. The position will report to the CFO of the company.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- IT Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliability and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive IT policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Application Management:
- Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical applications that support production and operational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand application requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the implementation of robust security measures to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly related to currency note production.
- Project Leadership:
- Plan and execute IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades and application rollouts, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage project teams and resources effectively to achieve project goals.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to secure quality and cost-effective services.
- Work closely with other departments to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
