The Content / Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating quality content across various mediums while incorporating best practices in marketing & SEO. The Specialist will oversee, plan and execute all Social Media campaigns for our company and clients which includes:- Write advertising copy for use by publication, broadcast or Internet media to promote the sale of goods and services.
- Vary language and tone of messages based on product and medium.
- Write articles, bulletins, sales letters, press releases, speeches and other related informative, marketing and promotional material.
- Conduct research and interviews to determine which of a product's selling features should be promoted.
- Work with marketing & creative team to determine the best way to present advertising information.
- Stay up-to-date on changing copywriting standards and advise Director of Interactive Marketing on changes in strategy or new strategies that might be employed.
- Identify and interpret Social Media trends; provide input on changes in company Social Media strategies.
- Develop Social Media campaigns for clients with varying degrees of input, including organizing a posting calendar, developing Social Media promotions, and advising clients on Social Media strategy.
- Execute Social Media campaigns to their highest effectiveness within the limits of the scope of service.
- Work closely with the creative team to develop effective graphics-driven Social Media promotions.
- Work with the team to evaluate, plan, organize, manage and contribute to Social Media channels to reach company targets and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on changing Social Media channels and strategy and advise Director of Interactive Marketing on changes in strategy or new strategies that might be employed.
Job Specification
Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have a fanatical passion for blogging, micro-blogging and community participation. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services is required.- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years related experience
- Strong understanding of social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, FourSquare, Flickr, Google+, blogs
- Experience with Hootsuite and WordPress
- Ability to learn CMS and Project Management systems
- Ability to identify and interpret social media trends
- Ability to plan, manage and implement all social media activities
