• Proven experience within a similar role and/ or experience in producing a volume of freshly baked bread cake decorating would be an advantage but not essential .

• Passion for good food and quality produce taking pride in your work.

• Must have a good working knowledge of food safety requirements.

Responsibilities for this Retail Supermarket Baker Job:

• Baking and decorating baked goods to a high standard.

• Follow instructions but also have the initiative to work efficiently alone and proceed to the next tasks.

• Follow recipes but also innovate and assist with new ideas and recipe testing.

• Liaise with management and other team members to ensure the smooth running of the bakery department .

• Understanding and implementing food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential.

• You will learn about proper handling storage and temperature control of fresh food and freshly baked items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
