Data Operations Engineer

VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company. VAM Systems is currently looking for a Data Operations Engineer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions: Years of Experience: 4-6 years Qualification:

1. BE Computer Science and Engineering

1. SQL Development
2. SAS EG
3. SAS DI
4. Object-oriented Programming (e.g. C#, Java)

1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate OR Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate OR equivalent.

1. Must have experience in development within a database, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle
2. Must have experience in Data Ops, Tools: DataStage or SAS

1. Stabilisation of daily data and information delivery
2. Continuous improvement of data loading operations
3. Improvement in performance of daily schedules
4. Improvement of monitoring within data operations across all stages of daily information delivery
5. Administration of core databases
6. Establishing best engineering practices in collaboration with developing data engineers
7. Extending existing and establishing new controls to improve the quality, availability, and clarity of the Data Platforms’ operations
8. Steering data operations engineers and performance optimization
9. Steering data operations engineers with coding standards and practices
10. Coordination and liaison between different teams to resolve source data dependencies and daily scheduling bottlenecks
11. Communicating and collaborating with other departments
