Finance Manager (Retail/F&B)

5 Working Days (Mon-Fri) Work Location: Shah Alam Industry: F&B Retail Job Summary: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the financial aspects of their retail store operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Role Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update accurate financial records, including sales transactions, expenses, and other financial activities related to the operation.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, review monthly aging, and oversee the credit note collection status.
3. Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, legal regulations, and company policies. Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
4. Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on financial tasks and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
5. Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits. Provide required documentation and explanations to ensure a smooth audit process.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the accounting function to improve efficiency and accuracy.
7. Work with GL manager on month-end closing and year-end budget preparation.

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional accounting certification is a plus.
2. Proven experience as an Accounting/Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in a retail, F&B, or store environment.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
4. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Familiarity with internal controls and financial compliance standards.
6. Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle financial challenges proactively.
7. Ability to speak in Mandarin language.
