Job Description
In this role at CelcomDigi, you will have the opportunity to work with the best Sales and Retail team members who will closely collaborate with you to increase sales, attract buyers’ attention, and provide an excellent in-store experience at our branded CelcomDigi stores. The single objective is to deploy a visual merchandising strategy to convert walk-in customers into new sales prospects through cross-selling and upselling, drive branding objectives, and maximize store profitability. Responsibilities:- Define, design, and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy.
- Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead customers through the entire store.
- Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans, and special promotions displays.
- Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result.
- Revise and present design ideas with assistant merchandisers.
- Act in alignment with the organization’s culture, products, image, and target market.
- Monitor costs and work within budget.
- Oversee production and brief staff on arranging displays.
- Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes.
- Liaise with suppliers and source elements.
- Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends.
- More than 5 years of experience managing trade marketing or visual merchandising for a large enterprise with an annual turnover of more than RM100mil.
- Direct experience in Go-To-Market strategy, framework development, and operation/execution is advantageous.
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success.
- Strong sense of urgency with good time-management skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solver.
- Passionate leader and supportive team player among management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- BA in Business Management, Marketing, or a similar relevant field.
- Ability to translate overall strategies into key selling pitches for various audiences.
- Strong in managing KPIs and deliverables expected in sales and service organizations.
- High discipline in meeting timelines and skills in project management.
- Passionate about understanding customers and the trade, always striving to exceed their needs and expectations.
- Innovative, challenging norms to drive better communication effectiveness, especially in embracing digital assets in future POSM development.
- Aware of industry developments in trade merchandising.
- Capable of managing stakeholders, both external and internal, to leverage strengths and deliver more with less.
