Position Overview

The Finance Director plays a critical role in driving financial health and growth across 6 countries (UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman) and 7 legal entities. Reporting directly to the CFO, this regional leader oversees all financial aspects, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury activities, and Accounting & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
    1. Manage forecasting process, ensuring comprehensive understanding of underlying assumptions.
    2. Lead key projects, such as retail expansion and IT initiatives.
    3. Develop ROI culture and drive profitability improvement.
  2. Treasury Activities:
    1. Oversee cash flow forecasting and monitor monthly cash landing.
    2. Streamline banking structure and ensure effective cash centralization.
    3. Drive cash optimization and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Accounting & Reporting:
    1. Lead reliable closing and reporting in a timely manner.
    2. Closely collaborate with accounting Shared Services Center and ensure integrity of balance sheets.
    3. Work closely with central consolidation team towards reporting accuracy and compliance.
  4. Audit & Tax Matters:
    1. Ensure smooth annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
    2. Responsible for regional tax compliance and anticipate changes in fiscal environment.

Requirements

We seek an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of 10+ years in relevant roles, including 3+ years in leadership positions. Key requirements include:
  1. Masters degree in finance, business or equivalent from accredited university.
  2. Previous experience in multinational groups, ideally in retail environments.
  3. Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
