- Brief job description:
- Prepare/review direct and indirect tax compliances for both Malaysia and Philippines covering income tax, tax estimate, transfer pricing, withholding tax, SST/VAT, etc.
- Prepare/review periodical tax return and coordinate with tax agents, advise on amendments and ensure the tax returns are in order and deadline for filing is met.
- Prepare/review internal monthly corporate income tax provisions, quarterly cash tax forecasts, effective rate forecasts and SOX testing.
- Support company tax audit and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters.
- Advise and attend to queries from stakeholders/business partners where required.
- To communicate and liaise with tax authorities on all tax matters for the Group and ensure that all matters are resolved in a timely manner.
- Keep abreast of latest tax developments/updates and analyze the implications to the business.
- Other ad-hoc assignments/duties as and when required.
- Requirements:
- Good understanding of Malaysia tax rules, regulations and practices.
- Analytical mindset with attention to details.
- Knowledge in Philippines taxation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
- Good in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
