Company Description One of our reputed Banking Clients is currently looking for talented & experienced Network Administrator. Job Purpose: To support the Bank's group network infrastructure unit as well as maintain, support, and provide a level of assurance for the availability of the Bank-wide group network and communication. Duties & Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities of the network services and delivery tasks and provide regular update reports to the Head Unit/Department.
  • Establish policies, procedures, and documentation pertaining to the management, security, maintenance, usage, problem detection/resolution, for all group network infrastructure.
  • Direct the work of consultants and technical staff, lead and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and timeline.
  • Lead and guide the team to install, setup, configure, operate, and support the network and connectivity infrastructure for the Group, which includes but is not limited to routing, switching, network load balancers, network address translation, virtual private networks, DHCP, IPAM, DNS, L2 & L3 network technologies and protocols, and network connectivity to external parties.
  • Provide support to ensure that the network is available as per established SLA.
  • Plan, design, and provide recommendations on potential areas of enhancements for enhanced network availability, network cost-reduction, and optimal network operations.
  • Ensure continuous evaluation of the network and connectivity security posture.
  • Plan, design, and recommend network enhancements and enforce policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure all the necessary preventive and corrective maintenance is conducted in coordination with the support vendor and OEM on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare the budgeting for the network infrastructure and proposals in line with the Bank’s strategy.
  • Manage and review contracts related to the network unit.
  • Review and ensure the delivery of all network-related audit points.
  • Monitor the network health and submit statistics and reports to the Head of Department on network-related projects/activities.
  • Documenting and enforcing system standards to maximize network performance.
  • Lead and guide other team members in delivering daily network tasks.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with other teams to ensure proper network optimization.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to resolve network-related issues that affect the Bank’s service level.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network-related problems.
  • Implement multiple network infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  • Implement network security features of LAN/WAN equipment in conjunction with the company's security team.
  • Interact with outside parties for connectivity to NBB Group network infrastructure and support the other teams and business by performing changes to NBB network infrastructure to facilitate the required connectivity.
  • Maintain and track network-related hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Verify and ensure the maintenance of periodic backup is performed on the network infrastructure.
  • Verify and ensure the testing of disaster recovery plans for the NBB group network infrastructure.
  • Support other Sections/Units in the Department with their project requirements.
  • Verify and ensure all related suppliers and contracts and ensure proper services.
  • Ensure availability to be on call 24x7 to support the Bank’s network availability.
  • Maintain documentation and accurate records of network infrastructure of the group.
  • Keep up to date of IT and security developments in the field.
  • Assist and carry out any other assignments given by the Section/Unit/Department Head from time to time.
  • Adhere to and implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures and ensure quality and cost-effective service.
People-Management Responsibilities:
  • Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the Bank performance management process.
  • Develop talent within the team by providing guidance and coaching to achieve the defined goals.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT major with specialization in Data Communications.
  • Advanced certificates from professional bodies on networking and other technical capabilities [Minimum CCNP level certified (Must), CCIE as an additional advantage] .
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a banking environment.
  • Experience in managing complex communication networks.
  • Knowledge of procedures, techniques, materials, and equipment utilized in the installation, repair, and maintenance of network equipment.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
  • Hands-on experience or certifications in one or multiple networking fields including enterprise networking, data center networking, software-defined networking, cloud networking, and voice.
  • Hands-on experience or certifications in security/network security.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Maintain communication uptime at 99% or more for connections.
  • Address audit/security/compliance requirements with resolution or mitigating controls.
  • Manage and maintain the Group Network infrastructure.
  • Support new projects for other units.
  • Periodic preventive maintenance for all group network infrastructure.
  • Introduction and maintenance of highly available redundant communication channels for the Bank's critical services.
  • Implement network monitoring and management tools to provide control over the network infrastructure.
  • Support and operate the group network infrastructure.
  • Implement any new system related to network infrastructure approved by the management.
  • Support and operate the IP Telephony system.
  • Support and operate load balancers.
  • Support and operate any network-related requirement, which includes but is not limited to routing, switching, network address translation, virtual private networks, policy-based routing and forwarding, DHCP, IPAM, DNS, L2 & L3 network technologies and protocols.
