Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Lucena Clinic, 59 Orwell Road, Rathgar, Dublin 6 Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow. Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Full Time, Permanent Pos Ref: JGCPCP17 Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.This is a new development post and will involve working on Team C Rathgar and also working on ADHD waiting list across the service. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users. Role Summary This role will involve working on a busy multidisciplinary team (Team C) based in Rathgar which has a catchment area of approx. 120,000 and currently has 1 WTE Consultant. It will also involve helping other teams in the service manage their ADHD waiting lists by providing assessments for some of the more complex cases. This will occur in Rathgar campus, with young people being referred back to their original teams after assessment and stabilization on medication. Minimum Requirements Must be on the Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland. Initial location The initial location of this role is in Lucena Clinic Rathgar. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CSs other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
