Assistant Chief Steward - Jahra - Copthorne Al Jahra Hotel & Resort

Provide support to the Chief Steward in managing the stewarding department. Assist in supervising the stewarding team, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient operation of kitchen facilities. Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Support the Chief Steward in supervising the stewarding team.
2. Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
3. Monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
4. Coordinate cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
5. Train the stewarding team on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
6. Enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
7. Maintain safety and cleanliness in food storage areas.
8. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure availability of clean and sanitized equipment.
9. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and compliance.
10. Manage stewarding schedules, staffing levels, and performance.
11. Address stewarding-related concerns or issues.
12. Monitor and control stewarding budgets and expenses.
13. Participate in the recruitment and training of the stewarding team.
14. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
15. Adhere to the company's environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
