Job DescriptionThe Math and Physics Instructor is responsible for delivery of Math and Physics modules within Qatar Technical Institute in Doha, Qatar.The Math and Physics Instructor will develop and deliver a range of Math and Physics modules within the QTI's Foundation and Vocational program. Flexibility is required as there may be variation to this depending on the institute's needs.In accordance with the assessment strategy, the Math and Physics Instructor will develop and follow robust tracking and assessment methods to ensure standards are maintained, thus ensuring progress within the QTI.The Math and Physics Instructor will actively contribute to the continuing improvement of the QTI, through identification of new ideas and embracing the suggestions of others.Core ActivityThe role requires development and delivery of Math and Physics within the QTI, both in the classroom and the workshops. The modules at present prepare the students for the training involved to gain City & Guilds Aircraft Maintenance certification. The modules may need to be developed further as the Institute diversifies the training routes for students.The role requires proficiency in a range of teaching approaches from presentations to student-centered inquiry-based methods.The role requires the instructor to be organised and capable of designing lesson plans with clear learning objectives and outcomes using online Learning Management Systems and with a multi-skilled team.The role requires conduct of assessments in accordance with the assessment strategy in place.Deliver Science courses within the QTI, thus ensuring training is delivered in line with quality and delivery targets.Maintain and develop a customer-focused approach that delivers customer satisfaction.Work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality unified approach to teaching Science.Ensure all SHE requirements are met in the training environment.Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements.Key AccountabilitiesDeliver Math and Physics courses within the QTI, thus ensuring training is delivered in line with quality and delivery targets.Maintain and develop a customer-focused approach that delivers customer satisfaction.Work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality unified approach to teaching Math and Physics.Ensure all SHE requirements are met in the training environment.Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements.RequirementsMust have 2 years' experience of teaching Physics or Maths, with English as the teaching medium and have the following minimum qualifications:A Bachelor degree in either Math/Physics subject.A teaching qualification such as a B.Ed. or PGCE in a Science/Math-based subject.Preferred:2 years' experience of training design following BSAT/DSAT model or ADDIE.Experience of teaching in the Middle East.Experience of teaching City and Guilds qualifications or in a vocational environment.Ability to teach engineering if required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
