Immunization Supply and Logistic OfficerThe Consultant will provide support to the FDI for the development of an operational deployment plan, monitoring the installation of RTMDs in 800 facilities, and ensure coordination with provinces and areas, in addition to providing support for any other area related to vaccine and supply chain as assigned by the FDI.
Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support to the Federal Directorate of Immunization in managing the development of Operational Deployment Plan for Remote Temperature Monitoring Devices (RTMDs) in 800 facilities in all provinces and areas, training of the HR on installation and monitoring of temperature records of RTMDs, and coordinating with the provinces and trained HR on installation of RTMDs while deploying corrective measures ensuring temperatures are within acceptable ranges.
Support the Federal Directorate of Immunization in vaccine shipment planning and managing international vaccine shipments of COVID-19, routine immunization, and campaigns adhering to stock thresholds; Min Max and reorder levels.
Coordinate with the provincial focal person for smooth data reporting from RTMDs already installed, supporting in troubleshooting of RTMDs in 600 facilities in Punjab, Sindh, and Islamabad.
Update Cold Chain Equipment Inventory in coordination with provinces and consolidate the National Cold Chain Equipment Inventory in WHO Cold Chain Equipment Sizing Tool on a quarterly basis.
Ensure 100% functionality of CCEs (Passive and Active) liaising with maintenance officers ensuring preventive and curative maintenance and reducing equipment downtime thereby ensuring availability of potent vaccines in adequate quantities.
Support logistics working group meetings where all thematic areas of coordination, stock management, CCE functionality, data visibility, waste management, and performance management are discussed; identifying gaps and putting points of action and improvement made.
Support EVM coordinators in implementing improvement plans regarding areas of immunization supply and logistics.
Any other business assigned by the supervisors related to Immunization Supply Chain and Cold Chain management.
Qualification & Experience Required:An advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in Medical Sciences, Public Health, Social Sciences, and Management Sciences preferably in Public Health or related technical field.
A first university degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant field combined with 4 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
A minimum of two years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation and Supply Chain.
Relevant professional experience related to Health programs or Immunization would be an asset.
Previous experience of working in an EPI environment in Pakistan is an asset.
Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency situations is considered an asset.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
