Must have guided minimum 2 PhD Students and should have 2-3 years of Industry ExperienceEducation: BE / B Tech & ME / M Tech with Ph.D.in a relevant field of Mechatronics, Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline Responsibilities - Lead the Department of Mechatronics in developing and implementing strategic plans, curriculum and research projects that align with Symbiosis University's goals and the evolving industry. Foster a research-driven environment that supports high-quality publications, grants, and collaborations with other academic and industry entities. Design and enhance curricula that balance theoretical and practical aspects, keeping pace with trends in automation, robotics, AI, and IoT in Mechatronics. Establish partnerships with leading companies for internships, research, and industry-sponsored projects, ensuring students gain hands-on experience. Oversee student engagement programs, advising initiatives, and mentorship opportunities, particularly for students specializing in robotics, automation, and other Mechatronics disciplines. Mentor and develop faculty within the department, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Manage departmental budgets, staff, and resources effectively to enhance productivity and academic output.Preferred Skills - Educational Background: Ph.D. in a relevant field of Mechatronics, Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline. Teaching Experience: Minimum of 12 years in academia, including undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. Leadership Experience: At least 5 years as a director or in a comparable leadership role, with demonstrated success in strategic planning and departmental management.
