General SummaryThe IT Systems Engineer - Exchange is a seasoned professional with advanced expertise in Azure Active Directory and Exchange Online administration, coupled with proficiency in Windows server administration. If you're passionate about shaping robust IT ecosystems and thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to explore this role with us.Incumbent will work as part of a global team to assist in the design, integration and support of all networked computing systems that comprise the Center for Creative Leadership's (CCL) Corporate Information Systems. These information systems include Servers & Clients, Network connectivity including printing, and all associated application software and utilities. The System Engineer works closely with Cloud, Architecture, Security, Network, Support, and Systems groups, on planning, design, administration and the resolution of problems and anomalies; the Development and Knowledge Management groups in delivering and supporting Projects; and the GTT leadership team to ensure the integrity of the corporate information systems.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesConfiguration and Maintenance: Administering Exchange Online services, including mailbox management, distribution lists, and mail flow rules. Ensuring the smooth operation of Azure AD services, managing user accounts, groups, and access controls.Security Management: Implementing and managing security measures such as multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and role-based access controls to safeguard Exchange Online and Azure AD resources.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to Exchange Online mail flow, connectivity, and synchronization errors. Addressing authentication, synchronization, and access issues within Azure AD.Performance Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing the performance of Exchange Online and Azure AD services to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability.Backup and Disaster Recovery: Establishing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery strategies for Exchange Online mailboxes and Azure AD user data to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.Integration and Collaboration: Integrating Exchange Online with other Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for seamless collaboration and communication.Compliance and Governance: Enforcing compliance policies, data loss prevention (DLP) rules, and retention policies to meet regulatory requirements and protect sensitive information stored in Exchange Online mailboxes and Azure AD.Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of Exchange Online and Azure AD configurations, policies, and procedures. Generating reports on system performance, usage trends, and security incidents.User Support and Training: Providing technical support to end-users for Exchange Online mailbox access, configuration, and troubleshooting. Conducting user training sessions to promote best practices and maximize productivity.Stay Updated: Keeping abreast of latest developments, updates, and best practices in Microsoft Exchange Online and Azure AD administration through continuous learning and professional development.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required7+ Years systems management experience working with corporate client/server environments. MCSE certification or working towards certification a preference.7+ Years Exchange/Exchange Online configuration and administration, especially including mail security and mail flow optimization.7+ Years Active Directory/Azure Active Directory services administration.DNS-security related experience with DKIM/DMARC/SPF recordsExperience working with a 3rd party security solution integrated with mail flow (e.g., Sophos).Demonstrated experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and Win Server migrations to Azure cloud.Experience in managing a corporate multi-domain Windows Information Systems Environment.Technically proficient in the implementation TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP and DNS.Proficient in Microsoft Office Application Suite and support in an enterprise environment.Capable of working with RAS client/server environment and dial-up networking.Customer service skills with the ability to work with the clients and customers in resolving problems.Ability and willingness to travel infrequently to remote sites.
