Linux Cloud - Solution EngineerExperience: 9 to16 YearsLocation: Bangalore / NoidaSkills/CertificationCertification and In-depth knowledge Linux RHCE (Design/Sizing, Adminstration, Troubleshooting, Installation and Implementation)Certification and In-depth knowledge Vmware (Design/Sizing, Adminstration, Troubleshooting, Installation and Implementation)Certification and In-depth knowledge Cloud Azure / AWS (Design/Sizing, Adminstration, Troubleshooting, Installation and Implementation)Expert knowledge with server, blade server hardware or hyper converged infrastructure (DELL VXrail, Cisco Hyperflex preferred) for design and sizing solutions.Good / Strong knowledge of industry standard Network Access Control technologies (preferably Cisco ISE and Aruba Clearpass)Good / strong knowledge and experience with system resources in hyper converged environments such as SAN/NAS , dynamic system resource allocation and backup solutionsten or more years of previous working experience as a Senior System Engineering or Administrator3-5 years' experience in System Architecture / Solution Design / implementationHigher-level problem-solving skills with focus on troubleshooting issues in complex production environmentsAbility to author quality technical documentationAbility to effectively lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to lead a technical team (as part of complex projects)Ability to present at senior management level and during customer sessionsStrong written and verbal English communication skillsWillingness to learn new technologies and software, being innovative (thinking outside of the box and questioning the norm).An excellent team player with commensurate communication and collaboration skills, with experience of working in a global environment with team members in diverse locations.Tasks / Activities:Assist pre-sales engagement (for large/complex) deals working with Verizon Operations, Planning and Design ("OPD") as required in addition to proactively engaging with sales as needed acting as a champion for SSM FX's within the sales pursuit process.Design premise-based or virtualized solutions consisting of NAS/SAN storage, backup, cloud technologies, Managed DDI, Monitoring, Antivirus, operating systems such as Windows or Linux, and database technologies.Direct communication and interaction with customers or their representatives during pre / post sales process, during implementation, and throughout operation of solutions going forward.Analyze business requirements, identify risks, and collaborate with functional teams and business users to deliver flexible, innovative, and cost effective solutions while meeting business needs.Deliver complex environments and configure hardware and software in accordance with business requirements while remaining aligned with security and compliance standards.Creating and maintaining solution documentation based on project requirements.Act as a technical lead, coordinating activities and projects within the department.Continuously improve service availability, security and reliability, in accordance with industry best practices.Maintain and develop operational procedures as part of a professional transfer of the solutions to operations.Build and maintain relationships with critical functional teams and suppliers.Provide escalation and operational support for Advanced Support.Coordinating outage response and associated activities by communicating with stakeholders which may include close communication with the impacted customer.Proactively monitor system performance and resource usage as an input to ongoing capacity planningCollaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.As a subject matter expert, mentor and become a training resource for less experienced system administrators as required.Direct communication, interaction and liaison with customers or their representatives during pre / post sales process but also during implementation and operation of solutions going forward.PresalesFor further explanation -
