We help our clients build their brands and achieve their business goals while navigating the always-evolving media and industry environments.The Senior Account Director we seek will lead communications for one of the most consequential brands in the world, helping to navigate the future of AI, cloud, gaming and more.Edelman is looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, navigating complex tech issues that impact society and has a deep understanding of the intersection of politics and business. The candidate should have significant experience with communications programs, inclusive of strategy and planning, creative, earned media and influencer marketing. They should be organized and routinely adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines.Responsibilities:Build strong relationships with primarily tech-focused clients and operate as day-to-day client contact.Grow Edelman's Tech business in Canada with both new and existing clients.Lead planning for key clients, with accountability for quality, performance, deadline and budget management.Collaborate with integrated teams (strategy, creative, digital, analytics) on concept and campaign development and execution.Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations.Develop a solid understanding of clients' business to provide sound strategic counsel.Ensure seamless integration between all campaign activities and program elements.Demonstrate creativity and conceptual thinking on client programs and projects.Pursue opportunities for learning new expertise & share appropriately.Qualifications:7-10 years of related experience in communications, ideally with a focus on technology, public affairs and gaming.Strong experience in client service including with an ability to understand and assess a client's business and communication needs.Demonstrated track record of developing and executing engaging and successful communications programs for clients.Experience managing a team that has best-in-class execution engrained in their DNA.Proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and small teams simultaneously, function as a daily client contact, as well as develop and execute plans to meet client goals.A relentless passion and understanding of the role of communications for product marketing, brand building, community engagement, etc.Great references from past and current clients, business partners and employers.Amazing writing and presentation skills.Tact and diplomacy.Benefits and Perks:Hybrid, flexible work model with remote working and purpose-based time in office.3 week's paid vacation, plus days off for your birthday and curiosity day.Statutory public holidays, National Truth and Reconciliation Day and World Mental Health Day.Holiday office closure (Christmas - New Year).Half-day Fridays during summer long weekends.Flexible sick days.Dusk till Dawn email policy.Employer paid benefits.Wellness/Fitness annual allowance.Tuition Reimbursement policy.
