A world free of cancer.If you are passionate about achieving this vision through your expertise in medical physics, we invite you to apply as a Radiotherapy Physicist at CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg, MB. In this full-time, permanent role, you will have the opportunity to:gain a broad range of clinical experiences within the Department of Medical Physics to implement new clinical programsprovide clinical and technical support for the radiation oncology programdepending on your expertise, support, mentor, and supervise students in the University of Manitoba's CAMPEP-accredited medical physics graduate or clinical residency programcontribute to research and teachingIf the above has piqued your interest, the qualifications for the ideal candidate as well as some of the requirements for the role are as follows:MSc in Radiotherapy Physics; PhD an assetMinimum of 2 years clinical training experience in radiation oncology physics beyond post-graduate degree; additional clinical work experience beyond 2 years an assetMCCPM certification or eligibility to applyExperience with the following: linacs (with mounted kV imaging systems), CT-simulators, treatment planning systems, HDR brachytherapy and MRIWe are actively growing our research program; a strong research track record and interest in pursuing research in a collaborative environment is an asset.Excellent problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize competing responsibilitiesExcellent English language proficiency, both written and verbalWillingness to work evenings or weekends as requiredIf you meet these requirements and want to be an integral part of healthcare transformation in Manitoba while meeting the specialized needs of CancerCare clients, we invite you to apply.Informal enquiries may be made to: Anita Berndt, Ph.D., MCCPM, Section Head, Radiation Oncology Physics, CancerCare Manitoba 204-787-2518; aberndt@cancercare.mb.ca.This position is subject to a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, an Adult Abuse Registry Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check.
