Manager Quality Assurance (QA) - Dairy Feed Production

Masters or Bachelors in Chemistry, Animal Food and Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, MS TQM or DVMPosition Objective:To develop and monitor a comprehensive Quality Assurance approach that encompasses the people, policies, and procedures involved in each stage of production: employee training, standard operating procedures, critical control points, sampling and analytical schedules, reporting systems, and review processes including quality specifications for ingredients and their traceability, through manufacturing processes and packaging, to finished feed delivery. This role will also require running farm trials to ensure that our feed quality is better than our competitors.Tasks Include:To ensure the product conforms to the company's nutritional and physical specifications when the product is sold or delivered.To incorporate regulatory requirements and any third-party certification program requirements in place at the Company.To observe the quality of ingredients during receiving, monitoring the manufacturing process, and to evaluate the color and texture of finished feed in order to increase sales, optimize animal performance, and maximize profits based on specific market demands and the design of the animal production systems being served.To develop detailed SOPs that ensure a safe high-quality feed is manufactured and delivered to the customer.To ensure that employees receive training on standard operating procedures.To develop ingredient specification sheets that can be included as part of the purchasing process.To identify important steps in each process and to define critical control points that must be monitored throughout the manufacturing process for evaluating product quality.To train the QA team to identify critical control points within the feed mill.Job SpecificationKnowledge & Skills:Knowledge of:Grain and (or) feed science as applied in modern feed production systemsQuality Management Systems, Process VerificationTools & techniques required for Organic Lab Chemist/ QA AnalystAnimal Food & Nutrition (Dairy)Skills of:Selling & People ManagementCapacity to think strategically about feed operations issuesAdaptation to new and changing technologyProject managementIdeal Candidate should have:Academic Qualification of M.Sc or B.Sc Chemistry/ B.Sc Food & Nutrition (Animal)/ BS Chemical Engineering/ MS TQM/ DVM or in any relevant discipline3 - 5 years' experience of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Feed Production or Organic Lab Chemistry in a Dairy Feed Production EnvironmentJob Location:Sheikhupura - Lahore Road, SheikhupuraFounded in 2009, with a passion to contribute to Pakistan's Livestock and agriculture sector, Maxim International is a joint venture of European Agro Ventures, Babar Ali Foundation and The Blue Link, Netherlands.
